Testo

My soul is older that the stones on the streets
you walk on everyday
Your hearts are just like dead roses shining
in the moon now and then
I see you from here, from the seashore
so shallow, but never like you

All of this is absurd, can’t I be another bird?

(Chorus)
Cause I’m an albatross that flies over the sea
and when I land, it’s such a shame
I want to feel the air again
Careful what you say, your hate may turn in pain

Me and my wings, queen of the sea, empty and blue
You and your dirt, stuck together like glue
Are you satisfied with your artificial paradise?

All of this is absurd, can’t I be another bird?

(Chorus)
Cause I’m an albatross that flies over the sea
and when I land, it’s such a shame
I want to feel the air again
Careful what you say, your hate may turn in pain

(Special)
They laugh at you singing in the street
not used to seeing happiness at its peak

(chorus x2)
End

Ho preso spunto da una peosia di Charles Baudelaire, che si chiama appunto “albatross”. Ho immaginato di essere questo uccello che non si trova per niente a suo agio sulla terra, ma è felice solamente quando vola.
